Grey Heron

There were 3 heron today (well I caught a glimpse of a 4th as I was leaving. Initially it was only two who met me at the gate the middle male and the youngest male. I started feeding them when I heard a loud heron cry and noticed the middle female (pictured) landing beside me. I managed to feed them reasonably well along with the 2 crows who fed their fledglings. The gulls were a real problem as they were swooping on the food and catching it in mid air. The middle female was pretty much unaffected by it as she was standing next to me most of the time.
