Journey Of Discovery

Spotted the green heron again today. From its size I assume it's a juvenile. The young bird spent quite a time walking up and down the limbs of the fallen willow, looking for places to fish.

I liked this shot of the heron in a playful pose which is how I think he seemed as he explored his surroundings. I read they are mainly solitary birds.
