Invisible people.....again!

I truly didn't see the man sleeping rough at first!

I had walked down here specifically to photograph this artwork. It's a recent piece and an apparent tribute to Banksy, although I understand the rat reference obviously but not the cone. Didn't know the cone was his idea!!!

As a previous self-confessed Banksy lover, I am now going a bit cool on the idea of visiting his exhibition at GoMA mainly because everyone else is so desperate to see it. I liked him much more when he was a outlaw kicking back against the establishment and living on the edge of society using his street art to get his message over.

If the rumours of his charity work are true then I am somewhat less troubled by how things have turned out, especially his support for homeless charities.

Having said that, he's way too mainstream for me now and I really don't want to be one of the sheep. I know I'm cutting off my nose to spite my face, but it's not for the first time.

Extra: BIN YER SHITE
The iconic "People Make Glasgow" brand catastrophically failed to encourage anyone to take pride in their city. Now a new campaign has just been launched.

After visiting more than 400 pubs and bars in Glasgow and conducting detailed market research with party-goers in the city centre "BIN YER SHITE" has been chosen as the new city slogan!
