The Daylilies Begin
If May is for Daffodils and June is for Peonies, then July is for Daylilies. The first day of July and the first Daylilies appear, right on schedule. Soon, the yard will be filled with their beautiful faces. I cut on and brought it into the studio to paint. I am trying to resurrect my watercolor painting skills before my trip to Scotland next month. Watercolor was never my best medium, oil was my preference, but I will give it a try this month. My daylily study is in the extras. Gift#181: to relearn an old skill.
