Flowers Forever

It’s been raining off and on all day so our planned walk to Nymphenburg was scratched and instead we headed into town to see the current Kunsthalle exhibition, Flowers Forever. A real mixed bag covering all aspects of flowers in art and some cracking works on show. The main picture is of an installation called Calyx. To quote the blurb:
British artist Rebecca Louise Law works only with flowers and natural materials. For her expansive floral sculpture “Calyx”, people in Munich spent an entire year collecting around 100,000 dried flowers. Working in a disused swimming pool, Law then tied these into garlands with the help of volunteers.
And it’s pretty impressive!
The extra is also from the exhibition but might leave you puzzled.
