Skomer

My apologies for my silence. Last week I went to Skomer Island off Pembrokeshire. We stayed on the island for two nights - it is the way to do this as we had the benefit of sunrise, sunsets and the best light which you don’t get if you go on a day trip. The weather was perfect, the terrain beautiful but rugged, and the accommodations basic to put it mildly! I did find it tough but then I think I was the oldest visitor by some 20 years!
Puffins ….there are literally thousands of these comical little birds, and they are not afraid of humans. It has taken me over a week to go through my photos and I’m not finished yet.
So to kick off here is a pair of Puffins. In my extra is an image of a puffin with a beak full of sand eels.
