Mount Rainier

We drove up to Mount Rainier for the day.

Once at the mountain We only went as high as Paradise but that was fine by me. This is a serious hiker’s mountain. There are lots of trails but they are not for the casual stroller.

Climbing trails higher than Paradise, you were advised to expect whiteouts, possible avalanches and to have layers of clothing and food and water with you.

Not far from the mountain, in a tiny town, we came across this Hobo Inn. Old train cars that had been turned into places to stay. ;-) (see extra)

Back in Seattle and ready to fly to SLC in the morning.
