Two Captains

Today was my yearly day out with all the volunteers of Humanitas Home-Start.
We had a city walk through one of the districts in Rotterdam, called Katendrecht or short the Cape. It was the red district in earlier times but almost 30 years now the red district was closed and moved.
A lot has changed, the old buildings received a new destiny and a lot of new buildings were build. A very large cruise ship, the SS Rotterdam is place along the quay on the eastside.

These men are volunteers too, the give guided tours through this old district. They dress like captains. They were well informed and very friendly. Loved to meet them. One of them is Jack Kerklaan (in white) He is a famous local journalist who works for the local Radio and Television.
