Today we revisited the marvellous Dumfries House gardens  which were full of colourful flowers, ripening fruit and vegetables.

Different from the usual type, a 'multi-face', with the main 'face' facing north and the time indicated by the shadow of a central pin, two further plates casting shadows on calibrated upper and lower edges, and the two side arcs also with calibrations.   The top surface carries an iron equatorial dial with noon lines for 4 cities.
