Loch Avon

Went for a stroll in the Cairngorms today with M+L. Over the shoulder of Cairngorm from the Coire Ciste car park and down to the Fords of Avon to do Creag Mhor, then on down to Bynack Stables and back to Morvich.  A nice circuit on lovely soft, dry ground with good views of the tors on Bynack More, though Creag Mhor has a nice granite tor itself.  Saw a golden plover, a couple of sandpipers and a redpoll. All in all an excellent Cairngorm day. Today's blip is looking up Loch Avon to Creag Etchachan and Shelter Stone.
