The Face In The Rock
This morning we finally managed to break free of dense fog and ice, and have now anchored off the village of Nanortalik in Greenland.
We took the Zodiacs ashore this morning to walk through the village and visit the little local museum which was very interesting, highlighting the Inuit way of life here. This large boulder looks just like the profile of a person! It's known locally as the Knud Rasmussen rock, and he sits there, looking pensively towards the church.
Extras: Some of the colourful houses in the village, and Mr. W with the mayor who we met as he was preparing to sing in the church choir.
