Muggy Afternoon

I've almost finished cleaning the kitchen, thank goodness.  I'm thinking it's like the painting of the Forth Bridge, by the time I get back round to the sink I'll have to start again!  I'm sure our visitors next week will not be running their fingers along the top of worktops and cabinets.....

My monopod arrived today and I need to get some practise in with it before my big photo job in the middle of July.  I want to try using it with my VERY BIG lens, we shall see!  Maybe I'll try it out at Parkrun on Saturday morning.

Angela messaged to say did I fancy a walk out with Sally and her this afternoon.  We have had potentially stormy clouds crossing the village all day so, despite the muggy warmth, I packed a brolly and my thin running cag.  It spotted every now but thankfully only showered after I had returned home.  We took a route we haven't done in a while and it was very enjoyable.  We had a good old moan about anything and everything; the state of the country; schools; Thames Water; elite cricket; education; influencers; over the top hen do's - it was an eclectic mix!  At the stile we agreed to talk about good things for the remainder of the walk and covered, amongst other things: heartwarming Costa Rican youngsters and identifying bird songs.
