Flowers Don't Last Forever
My Dear Princess,
I went back into the office today and I got SO MANY HUGS.
People are nice.
Nicest of all the nice people is Fazzy who was just lovely. She was still upset with herself for forgetting my birthday although I kept telling her that it really doesn't matter.
"It really DOES matter, Symon," she insisted. And she bought me lunch. It was the traditional Fazzy/Symon lunch of poached eggs on toast. We chatted for an hour and she made me laugh and I had the best time with my lovely friend.
"You MUST see my fridge!!" she insisted.
I cannot tell you how important Fazzy's new fridge is to her. She is very excited about it. Positively AGLOW. So a visit is being organised to look at her fridge.
She's so cute.
Speaking of cute, I found that FOB (Fazzy, Olivia and Briar) had bought me "Jam" the cat. He was sitting on my desk waiting for me this afternoon, accompanied by this note.
"Who named him?" I asked Fazzy. "Was it Briar? It was Briar wasn't it?"
"It was me," admitted Fazzy.
I should have known better. If Briar had named him, she would have called him "Gary".
Flowers do not last forever. but Jam does. I shall take Jam to bed with me tonight. And feel very Jam-ed.
S.
