You are my ....

Sunshine was in very short supply today.  A damp one.  Grey.

Pottery with Mum and Chris this morning.  Glazing things made before my trip away.   Mum's pot, with raised external decoration, was fiddly to paint.  Some help needed as Mum's sight is limited.  Chris's bowl was a simpler job .... and you could tell he does painting and decorating!   Hopefully both will come out well.   I'm glazing a small stoneware vase, deeply carved.   I really like the pattern, hoping the glaze will emphasise the lines in it.  Watch this space.

After lunch some time at Jamie's flat.  He's away taking in a couple of London musicals with Clara.  I was there to let the repair men in to replace the rotten frame around the immersion heater.  He's only had the shower for hot water for the last six weeks and today the repair guys found the tank needs replacing :-( so another delay.   I'm planning to seek a chat with one of the housing association managers.  The team are ever helpful but the process is managed in a painfully clumsy way.

While they were there Meg and I had a walk and after tea, a snooze, This evening singing was great fun as usual.  As I have very belatedly remembered that Jamie's Gecko needs feeding, the day is not quite done yet.  Evening all.
