I was ordained as a minister in the Methodist Church. I had done 2 years in practical training after 3 years in college & at Southport Conference I was received into full Connexion & later in the day ordained at Leyland Rd Methodist. My friend & I ended the day at the shore end of the pier with a bag of chips & a bag of gifts each.
