The accidental finding

What on earth?

Gloucester's newish transport hub (aka bus station) with what looks like two monster blocks of flats being built behind, where there used to be a multistorey car park. This isn't what I'd call a residential area of Gloucester, with a gigantic road running past, but perhaps it'll.look more inviting in a few months' or years' time.

I got a lift from CS to a junction in the middle of nowhere, then a lift from a colleague who had to take her daughter to a school in Gloucester before taking us to Churchdown, a village between Cheltenham and Gloucester. We attended an event at a community centre, which was useful and provided networking opportunities as well as learning.

I wasn't quite quick enough in leaving at 3, so missed my bus. Had to catch the next bus back to Gloucester. It was a school bus. The children from CH school packed the bus, many standing. Most were quiet, or conversed at a normal sound level, but the shrieky, shouty ones were VERY loud and the bus route is long. I did finally get a seat, and the second bus journey, from Gloucester to Stroud, felt relaxing by comparison.

On arrival in Stroud, I decided to get a third bus home, instead of walking, because I was tired. Hopped on a bus, and the driver waved me past the ticket machine, because it was broken. Hurrah! My joy, however, was short lived. We hadn't travelled more than half a mile when we came to a police roadblock. An accident had happened further up the road. The bus was going to divert, but had got stuck in traffic meanwhile. I got off and walked home.

Lay down to rest before yoga class, switched on a podcast, and promptly fell asleep. Drifted back into consciousness with a vague sensation that I needed to do something...
Made it to yoga just on time, but had forgotten my mat! Fortunately there were spares.

Good yoga session, and now I'm watching a programme about the NHS at 75. Will it last another 75 years? One thing's for sure, I won't be there to see the 150th birthday.
