Stamp Collections

As anyone knows who have had the task of sorting through and disposing of someone's possessions after they've left this planet, it can be a lengthy and challenging task.

Today I started on another box and discovered quite a big stamp collection, the newest from the 1960s and a lot more that are older. There are albums arranged by country, first day covers and sheets of mint unused stamps.

 I know nothing about stamps so I'm thinking of finding a local club (if there is one) to ask for advice. Maybe some of the stamps have value, maybe not but I don't feel I can simply throw them away.
