Le Soleil
Montaged two very easy vans today. One was already done, and the other was not bad at all! This allowed us to encounter problems with gas bottles running out, light bulbs blowing, and people wanting various items, having a two hour lunchtime to make the most of the sun before finishing at the early respectable time of six o'clock and then going down to the pool to sunbathe for another hour before coming back for dinner.
Achievement of the day: We now both know how to change a toilet seat, after someone managed to shatter (yes, shatter) theirs and therefore needed a replacement. The things you learn when you have to hey?
I must say, it is quite a novelty to not be the pale pale one...that award most definitely goes to Jen at this moment in time; who managed to burn while wearing suncream. I however seem to be tanning rather well for me, which again is quite a novelty! After our day in the sun, it was Jen's turn to cook...so we started to use up the rest of our leftovers in the fridge, ending up with a smoked salmon, prawn and vine tomato pasta with garlic and herbes de province. Really not bad at all! We then went for a wander down to have a look around the port (hence the photograph!), before being accosted by a drunk man who seemed insistant that a.) we went for a drink with him and b.) that I would take a photograph of him. Don't you hate it when that happens? The more annoying thing was that I was very politely telling him that we weren't interested, and never would be, and that he should go away sharpish he decided that all of these things were nul and void, and the only reason we didn't want a drink with a drunk man was because I didn't understand what he was telling us. Hmmm. Typical French?
Tomorrow will be an early start, as all of the customers have opted to have their customer visits early in the morning rather than early evening. Why? Oh well, no rest for the wicked!
