Mandurah

We drove up to the impressive city of Mandurah to go on a lunch time cruise around the harbour, waterways and wetlands. It was a perfect day for it. The dolphins were numerous but not inclined to show off as they cruised along next to our boat.

The homes were big and bigger. The land alone costs $1m and houses like some you would see on Grand Designs. I was thrilled to see a lot of wetlands, fenced off from people and animals. These are important to the birds that travel around the globe to breed. We saw an osprey in the nest from a long way away.

After all this relaxation we found a shopping centre (Mandurah Forum) which is even bigger than Penrith Plaza for those who know it. We were happy as we wanted a particular shop to buy Bob some new shoes. We also bought a new electric heater for the caravan as the other one blew up last night.

A good day.
