Glass bottles

A cooler day today, and the week looks the same, so after dinner I finally planted all the seedlings that have been waiting patiently in pots down the cool side of the house. Good to get them all in the border at last. Hopefully they’ll get fairly established before we go away for a weeks’ holiday in a couple of weeks. All that’s left now are a few pots of basil but they will stay in pots in the shade ready to use for cooking.

Unfortunately some of the little red gem lettuces are looking ready to bolt (after last week’s hot weather?) so I cut a couple of them to use this week so I hope the others will hold back a bit. Maybe I need to get some seeds and sow some more.
