Back to Whistling Sands

Words of advice ; if you’re doing a walk using only a sign board photo, check it occasionally!
We decided to walk from Porthor ( Whistling Sands) to Aberdaron and back and thought the walk in the N T car park fitted the bill perfectly - being 9 miles
We couldn’t understand why our fitbits both said 14.5 miles and it took 2 hours extra… till I just looked at the map and realised we hadn’t cut in at Porth Meduwy and actually walked all round the Llyn Peninsula back to Porthor :)
At times I was cursing the steep shale and steps up and down but now feel a sense of accomplishment! 250 stairs of descent/ ascent too!
This picture is taken as we came back up the coast to Whistling Sands…which didn’t!
