A day of mixed sunshine and showers, but I did manage to get the washing dried.   And tied up the roses which were beginning to fall over. 

Have had the very sad news that my niece's partner, Richard, has passed away.  He has been ill for a long time.  They are so far away from us in Rodanthe, on the Outer Banks of N.Carolina......and it is hard not to be able to give Claire some physical support.

The schoolchildren were having a lesson on the loch as we arrived.  Bob opted for a short walk and some coffee, and I did some rounds of the loch.  Unusually I didn't meet anyone I knew, it was actually quite quiet.  

Afterwards we headed to the shops to pick up a few bits and pieces.
