Above Lago di Braies, Dolomites

On our way up to the Lago del Giavo. We had an early start and didn’t see anyone else for the first two hours. Very steep climb up the scree but stunning scenery. The lake had dried up, seems to be happening everywhere, but we sat neat it and watched the marmots playing around. See extras. I’ve been playing with collages and did an alpine flower one too(for Tony G).

The walk down was incredibly busy with people walking up. We moved on to camp near Misurina for a few nights. It’s busy here too but we found a quiet spot, on a car park, with stunning views. There are huge numbers of campervans travelling around the Dolomites.
