biggest harvest ever

we came home to a strawberry patch that was full of beautifully ripe strawberries. I picked a bowl full yesterday, and this was the harvest of this morning. This is a dinner plate. You can tell that this is very special for me. I have been trying to grow them for years with very mediocre result. This year they got fertilizer and were thinned out. And I wasn't there to pick each one way before they were really ripe. Remember the year that I had a rat in the yard that shared the crop? Not this year obviously . The garter snakes must have done their job.
