Fussy slugs & snails

So so disappointed today to walk down the garden and see that slugs or snails have chomped away at all the gypsophila plants. I mean honestly. Having grown them from seed and repotted and planted out, I feel a bit wounded.

I was growing them for decoration of the tables at the wedding. The gyp in pots have actually started to flower so aaaaah.

I suppose I should be mightily grateful that the slugs and snails have left alone all the cosmos and poppy plants. Fussy things. But a good thing too.
