South West Coast Path

After a scenic 40 minute drive we arrived at our destination…… Duckpool which is just into the county of Cornwall.
Picnics packed into rucksacks we then set off on foot along (some extremely steep up and downs) the stunning cliff tops towards Bude. An abundance of Stonechats and skylarks, an eye level view of a kestrel stationary in mid air. Wheatears, yellow hammer and reed warblers amongst others.
Rabbits are thriving in certain areas amongst sheep and some belted cattle.
The return journey from Bude was just as rewarding as was the cream tea (extra1) after our walk of just short of 9 miles.
