Songs to learn and play

My plan today was to spend a few hours running through the 40 odd songs I need to play with a level of of competence at Hendstock. Alas it was a bit warm and I got massively sidetracked.

We often learn songs and then ‘make them our own’ so I thought I’d make a Spotify playlist with all of them on so I could listen to it a bit and hopefully learn them by osmosis. Handy hint, if you are adding ‘brightside’ (mr) to a playlist make sure you don’t accidentally select ‘bright eyes’ !

I abandoned music and did more gardening stuff all going well until somehow I got involved with rescuing a semi conscious woman.

She’d collapsed in the Churchyard and was very drunk. A couple of older fellows were trying to persuade her to get up and go home where they were going to call an ambulance. She was having none of it, and they had no other plan. She was in baking sunshine and making some alarming hip thrusting movements ( frankly it was quite uncomfortable to watch ) so I called an ambulance who carted her off to Addenbrookes..

I got back to gardening and managed to break a chainsaw so I’ve given up for the day and am drinking gin with H.
