Water babies (Day 2967)

The usual Sunday shopping trip then along to Stromness with my beautiful wife to get chores done and a ride out. A stiff breeze knocked the temperature down a bit, but it was still T-shirt weather. Red refused to allow HV to catch him so she took Jeeps instead. We had a grand ride again, and finished up in the sea for a cool off. It always amazes me how much Jeeps seems to like being in the sea. For a hoss that spooks at everything (today he spooked at some cow parsley, then a plant with pink flowers) he isn't bothered by the waves of bits of seaweed floating around. He doesn't care about the flatfish that skitter out of the way as he wades around either.
After putting George and Jeeps back to the field, HV and I zoomed home for lunch, then out with Sigyn at Lyde. Our walk away from the van was accompanied by distant rumbles of thunder. Our wander back was accompanied by very heavy rain, a bit of thunder and some flashes of lightning. We got fairly damp.
Back home for a brief stop then through to Stromness where we got more chores out of the way before the rain arrived there.
Last job of the day was a trip to town to collect HV's car.
Nice to have a weekend off.
