The choir

This afternoon we went to Wallington to hear #2 daughter singing in the walled garden. She is on the right behind the seated woman in light blue and in front of the tall one in grey, her friend Meg. Daughter is by far the youngest in the choir. James is listening carefully. They sang for about 3/4 of an hour. It was lovely.

This morning I spent a while on FaceTime with Jenny, catching up on her holiday with her sister to Argyll and planning which events to buy tickets for at the Edinburgh book festival. If we are successful in getting tickets I’ll then book my trains. We’ll also fit in a dance programme and an orchestra. Usually the daughters come to meet us for one day but this year #2 will be away on their Center Parcs holiday in Germany. However #3 will join us if we can get tickets. I love the buzz of the festival but preferred the Charlotte Square venue for the book talks.

I watched “Who Do you Think you are?” about Kevin Clifton. The story of his female ancestors was horrific. Worth watching.
