Busy

We have a pot of Lavender on the patio and it is now coming into full flower and looking good. I have noticed a few bees on it. This one was flitting from one flower to another at great speed, very difficult to photograph. I wondered why they don't do this more slowly. Obviously very successful though, judging by the amount of pollen gathered.

This photo was taken just before the sky darkened and we had a thunderstorm with torrential rain. Perhaps the bee knew this was coming so had to hurry!
