billowing...

...in high winds

where any attempt to get the "perfect" shot - of this flower - went flying out the window - every time i thought i had it in focus - wind gusts would sweep up... i finally decided to put focus aside - try to go with the movement of the wind instead - get into the rhythm of the wind - breathe with it, so to speak - allow the flowers petals to move out - then in - capturing them in motion as one...

i'm not certain that i was fully successful with what i actually wanted to portray - but it was nice not to fight the element - to agree with it - try to become one with it - in a gentle billowing movement against the blue sky - stopping the fight - slowing down - suspending my own want to be with nature in the moment, was pure pleasure - and made for...
