In the Pink

I bid adieu to May
whose verdant touch has
sponsored so much of what
our summer may display.
The heat of June may
saunter through. The intensity of July and
August may cause us temporary discomfort.
But the green of May is fresh and lush
and it lingers, if only in my mind.
