Trimming the poodle for midsummer!

His summer 2023 look is so short fur. Ready for easy life and swimming!

Today is the midsummer party time! 
You can read more about it here. Originally a pagan celebration, it was a tribute to Ukko, the god of thunder. And if the weather is ok, we make bonfires to keep bad spirits away. Nowadays, Midsummer is also a celebration of Saint John (hence the Finnish name for the holiday: Juhannus)

We had family collected into our garden, ate well and bathed in sauna too. No bonfires this year because the dry week before midsummer fest.

My unmarried daughter again tried this legendary charm and collected seven different kinds of flowers and put them under her pillow on Midsummer to will see her future spouse in a dream...
