It took this wee cicada 17 years to see the light of day so I thought he deserved a blipfoto tribute. It's eyes look like Jersey tomatoes!

To hear their remarkable constant sound please click on the link here. I took a video when I visited the Westfield Historical Society today. There were thousands of cicadas hanging in the trees, most had left their shells behind, some were flying, a few were mating. Most amazing.
