Hot dog

A warm night but did manage some sleep.

Early morning dog walk.  It was cloudy but the air was very still.  Breeze picked up a bit and open windows kept the house cool especially as there wasn't any sunshine.

As it was reasonably pleasant outside I planted some two echinacea plants.  Returning indoors just as a delivery of plants I'd ordered online arrived.   So I thought I'd put them straight in the ground.  I watered the holes I'd dug before the plants went in.  I hope they'll settle in. 

The afternoon was very warm and the only place to be was indoors.  Had a brief nap but the temperature rise to a stuffy 25°.  The coolest part of the house is the living room downstairs.  Although it's south facing there is a lot of vegetation shading and maintaining a cool temperature.

Poor Kyro is feeling the heat.   I'm keeping him cool with sprays of cool water and adding some water to his food to keep him hydrated.  He's not complaining but relaxing more.  I try to take his harness off to make him more comfortable but he flops onto his bed before I can remove it. 

Tomorrow is forecast to be even hotter.  There is A Race for Life event occurring tomorrow.  There will be a few with heatstroke no doubt.
