Birthday wood

This is my birthday wood and Dougal for scale.

Various happenings in our family has meant that 6 of them will be away for my 42nd.

This is absolutely fine as we had a wee surprise gathering tonight which included wine, a pipe, wine, tobacco, wine and a guitar magazine, 2 cards( unopened til Sunday), wine and good company.

But one of the best presents I've ever had... A big section of spruce!

Check it out! An amazing thing. Trees are amazing. You should look up what the native Americans say about them. Mother natures gift to us lot ,or something like that?
Heat, light, shelter, drainage, oxygen, paper, boats and so and so forth....

Guess I'm just a tree hugging hippy
