Hospital visiting

Tricia - my very favourite octogenarian - drove me up to Buckinghamshire to visit Ms Fitty, pent in durance vile and now also wired to the wall  with a million wires  and a videocam. (This is to see what her brain is doing now.)  She'd been in videotelemetry  for three solid days when we arrived.

There is a limited amount you can do in such circumstances. Ms F was bored.

Tricia is very fond of ballet, so I asked her to choose and bring up a dvd that would brighten Ms F's day and give her a compete change from the endless stream of Hollywood pap and reality tv which is  main entertainment for the bedbound.

She chose a stunner:  La Fille mal Gardee with glorious Carlos Acosta.

Here are Tricia and Ms F  - both riveted.

"He's got an excellent leg extension," says Tricia.

"He's hot," says Ms Fitty.

I think they both mean the same thing..
