Putting on a brave face

Last thing the daughter needed on her birthday after a day's work and ferrying her youngest back and forth to football was her dad insisting on a photograph to mark the occasion. In an attempt to cheer her up I did point out that exactly seven years ago to the day the country voted to leave the European Union and she was still in her 30's at the time.

I don't think she was too impressed with that information, for lots of reasons...
