Luscombe Castle
Ann saw on the internet that Luscombe Castle gardens were going to be open this morning. The house is situated in its own grounds just outside Dawlish so we met up with Colin and walked to the house. The grounds are extensive and the walk along the drive was long and very impressive with rolling hills, huge old trees, a lake, brook and two waterfalls.
We finally arrived at the house where we paid our dues to the Davlish Hospital fund and joined the locals enjoying the coffee morning.
The gardens and outbuildings are very interesting and Dylan managed to get into a scrap with a black Labrador twice his size. I took lots of photos, one of which is presented here.
