I Spy Island!

A brand new display board completed this morning, just needs to be changed from drawing pins holding it up to staples. :-)

It is all the children's work about the book I Spy Island which is written by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet of Supertato fame. It's a simple story about an island where four other characters live; Bottle, Bird, Banana and Glove. Island loves playing I Spy and one day spies a treasure chest who becomes a fellow island resident...but he is not happy about it. The other island folk manage to cheer him up in various ways until...

...a huge storm begins and they have to hang on to trees etc to keep themselves safe. Treasure Chest empties out all his treasure to let the characters hide inside, realising that the real treasure in life isn't gold and coins, but friendship.
