Carder bee at the geraniums.

It rained in the night and was much cooler today with occasional light rain. I spent the morning doing puzzles and sewing with Roomba in action upstairs..After lunch I got into the garden clearing up the last ivy prunings and cutting out dead wood in the crab apple and climbing rose, occasionally stopping to photograph bees. My compost bin is full so I'll have to start filling sacks and book a slot at the recycling. Must get a firm to dig out ivy roots and stumps. Feeling pleased at the progress.. The garden isn't going to look good this year but I have hopes for the future.
