Evening primrose
Evening primrose, aka Oenothera biennis, doesn´t grow on the uphill road south from Santolaya to La Curciada (or in Castillian La Encrucijada, which means The Crossroads), but it is rampant on the road downhill from La Curciada to the south - though almost entirely on the eastern side of the road. For no reason that I can think of, it likes to mass on the corners of sideroads leading east.
In Spanish it´s called not Evening primrose but Springtime evening . That is, the translation replaces primula / primrose with primavera /springtime.
Anway - it´s posted here for wild flower week.
