173/365 Butterfly

We went to Sezincote House near Moreton-in-Marsh today and used our Historic Houses membership cards for entry not only to the grounds but also into the house.

The whole place has an Indian theme to it and the history is fascinating as explained to us by our wonderful guide. The entrance is almost opposite to that of Batsford Arboretum on the main A44 road before it reaches Bourton-on-the-Hill.

It was a lovely day to walk around the grounds and also to visit the Orangery for tea and cake, I had Basque burnt cheesecake, Jayne a lemon tart, too sharp for me!

Afterwards we did go across to Batsford to get some stuff from the garden centre. A couple of trellises, two long canes, and some bug spray for the peonies.

The butterfly? I don't know what it is but it was flitting about on the plant which it's on in the blip. As you can see my technique needs some working on.
