Supper

An early morning swim and a different venue to yesterday as the wind has changed and there were lots of compass jellies cruising around in our usual spot. We went to the rock beach and it was blissful, only noticing this little gang stranded in the high tide line when we emerged.
Ceridwen sent me an interesting link. I am not personally convinced but in this photo you have the makings for a delicious meal: two sorts of jellies, an assortment of seaweeds and some whelks! Hmmm. There was also samphire on the rocks.

The toe still looks impressive - it's my little toe - and the bruising as spread across my foot, but I'm pretty sure it's just a hefty whack rather than being broken. No yomping up a mountain though and the weekend is looking like a washout which is a huge shame, as so many things have been organised. It's traditional midsummer and St John's Day (sorry Fitzbilly at it again) and a day to visit holy wells  - this is where we were last year I fear things will curtailed due to foot and weather but Bantry is having an odd festival that seems to include a very diverse group of events including (and I quote) : Live Music, Mexican Dance, Vikings, Chinese dragon and Ukrainians.
