MK II, Over the border

A last "textiles" and overt celticness post to end the week. Something of a reprise of a couple of days ago only this time sporting the MKII bunnet in the traditional colour - almost finished, still needs a bit more fulling and then some tidying up but it's near as dammit. I now have two orders for further bunnets, one for Catie, the other for her girlfriend (a Canadian descendant of the Scottish Diaspora) so I'll be able to do them in my sleep by the time I'm through. To round off the topic here's The Corries version of The Blue Bonnets are over the border. Dig those orange 1970's stage outfits! I've been listening to lots of folk music over the last few days as I've been making these, us creatives need to get ourselves into the right frame of mind after all! So the clack of needles has accompanied all my old favourites from Matt McGinn and Hamish Imlach to Dick Gaughan, Finn MacCuill, The McCalmans and of course The Corries. Chest swelled with nostalgia and nationalism I was subsequently deflated suitably when looking over the blips of the last few days: knitting, groceries and Agatha Christie - I suddenly realised I had become my granny...
