It's Damselfly time again!!!

I always love Damselfly time, when walking through the rough grasses disturbs clouds of tiny delicate damselflies, all flapping their gossamer wings like hundreds of tiny fairies! So romantic!
This is a female Blue-tailed damselfly (Ischnura elegans). Males are usually black with a blue thorax and blue patch at the 'tail' hence the name.
The females however (as is often the case in damselflies) comes in several colour ways, especially when immature.
This is the 'red' form Rebescens, but there are a few others I will try to find and blip for you in the future.
I hope you like her, I think she is very beautiful.
