Floral Walk

Today's walk took us down to the east of the Menabilly Estate to the cove at Polridmouth, then up around the Gribbin Head & back along the coast path as far as Polkerris & back to the campsite via fields. A beautiful sunny day, though we could see the clouds building & rain on the other side of the bay.

Some of the flowers, like the bedstraw and wild carrots, were natural, while others, like the chicory & corn marigolds, had been sown along field edges as part of a diversity scheme. The corn cockle was in a farm hedge - presumably part of a seed mix originally!
