RED

Walked down to the Health Centre in the village this morning for my doctors appointment.  My main concern was pain in my back and hips.  The doctor asked lots of questions and was very thorough.  He gave me a phone number to call to make an appointment for some X Rays - chest, spine and hips. ( I phoned later and have an appointment for Saturday at Blaydon for all 3 X Rays ).  Due to there being a family history of heart attacks and strokes and because I take tablets for high blood pressure the doctor wants me to have an ECG - just to be on the safe side.  Im booked in to have that next Wednesday.  He's also given me a prescription for codeine ( which I will only take as a last resort ), a daily low dose of aspirin and a GTN spray ( just in case Ive got angina ) I will collect my prescription on Friday after Ive seen the nurse for my Annual Review.  The nurse will take blood for the usual tests but the doctor has added a few more tests to the list.    So its all happening which is good and hopefully I will get the results of the X Rays/tests without having to wait too long so I can find out what's what.

After the docs I got the bus to Gateshead.  Did some shopping in Tesco and took my blip shot for Wide Wednesday.  The theme today is RED.  I took a photo of a red church door..... but when I got home I realised I had blipped it before so I had a rethink.

When I was unpacking my shopping I realised that the 6 boxes of Finn Crisp crackers I had bought in Tesco would fit the " Red " brief.  So its a bit of an unusual wide shot but at least there's a lot of red.  Thanks to Steveng for hosting.

I usually buy a few boxes of Finn Crisp whenever I go to Tesco in Gateshead as its the only nearby shop that sells them.  And I eat a lot of them --- mostly topped with Primula cheese spread.

This evening I have renewed my season ticket for Newcastle United. Cost £700.  The website has been very busy the last couple of days but I managed to get my transaction done tonight with no problems.  Ive also signed up in advance to buy Champions League Home tickets and FA Cup Home tickets,  Haven't bothered with the Carabao Cup ones ...... I might regret that later.

The weather today has been mostly warm and sunny but there were a couple of heavy showers which only lasted a few minutes.
