Acer Tree
Let me present my Acer Tree which I think very much deserves a place in my journal considering that it seems to almost enjoy showing off its deliciously lush green leaves after the bareness of the winter.
Over the past 10 years it has grown from a virtual stick into this wonderful and most enjoyable specimen. It didn't have the best of starts in life as it was planted in a spot from which it suffered wind burn and cold causing it's leaves to brown on the edges and die back. When I got the message that it wasn't happy, it was potted and moved to a more sheltered spot on the patio and against a warm brickwork, where it has rewarded me with its beauty each spring and summer ever since.
