Putting on a show

This delphinium is doing really well this year, I counted 13 spikes so far. Also doing well is the white climbing rose in the background. It has now reached the top of the conifer it has been using as support and is moving across to other trees to prop it up.
I am now more than half way through my recouperation period. In the last few weeks I have been pottering around in the back garden, deadheading, weeding trimming, watering regularly and even planting a few new plants. The back looks fine. The front garden looks totally neglected, unloved and overgrown. Probably too late this year to get it in shape, especially with the lack of rain, I I can make a start ready for next year
